3D printing adhesion soltions
Various filaments require not only a heated printing bed but also a glue stick as an adhesion promoter to produce the best printing results. Manufacturers such as Magigoo, Dimafix, 3DLac or Printafix have developed various ways to reduce the complexity of 3D printing. They use sprays, glue sticks or even liquids that are applied to the printing bed and thus improve the adhesion during printing.
In some cases it is recommended to use separate solutions for different filaments. Standard filaments such as PLA (Ployacticacid) usually do not need special adhesion promoters. The adhesives used here are usually based on PVA (polyvinyl alcohol), which means that a 3D-print filament is also used. Technical materials such as nylon (polyamide) or PC (polycarbonate) are often more vulnerable to warping and are also processed at higher printing bed temperatures. Therefore, it can be useful to use other adhesives in some cases.
