BEDROCK 3D BVOH (butenedioic vinyl alcohol copolymer) is the ideal support material for highly complex components with overhangs, cavities, and delicate structures. It dissolves completely in water without leaving any residue—no chemicals or manual post-processing required. This allows even complicated geometries to be realized precisely and cleanly.

Bedrock 3D: The brand behind the material

BEDROCK 3D stands for over 13 years of experience in industrial 3D printing – originating from the roots of Innofil3D, BASF, and Forward AM. Today, the experienced team is returning to its origins: independent, focused, and with the same passion for quality.

Under the new name BEDROCK 3D, the well-known Ultrafuse filaments will continue to be produced – with the aim of supplying professional printing materials with the highest dimensional accuracy, reliability, and consistency.

Efficient solubility and high printing stability

Compared to conventional PVA, BEDROCK 3D BVOH dissolves up to twice as fast, significantly reducing post-processing time. At the same time, the material remains stable during printing and ensures reliable support, even during long print jobs lasting several hours. This ensures clean surfaces and prevents damage to sensitive structures when removing the supports.

Universally compatible with common materials

BEDROCK 3D BVOH is compatible with a wide range of technical and standard filaments, including PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, PA, and CF-reinforced materials (depending on the system). This makes it ideal for multi-material prints where support structures and functional parts are produced simultaneously. A detailed compatibility overview is available in the download area.

Thanks to its high resolution and clean separation layer, BVOH is ideal for functional prototypes, design models, or assemblies with complex internal structures. After printing, a water bath is all that is needed—the support dissolves completely, leaving behind a perfectly clean component.
