The Bondtech QR uses a Nema17 stepper motor with an integrated planetary gearbox featuring a 5:1 gear ratio, paired with precision CNC-machined drive gears made of hardened steel. Whether you need high-resolution prints with small nozzles or high-flow prints with large nozzles, the optimized gear ratio combined with our industry-leading drive gears delivers unmatched thrust and lightning-fast retracts in a lightweight and compact package.

Bondtech Dual Drive

The unique Dual-Drive technology ensures uninterrupted material flow without fear of shredding or slipping, even under the most demanding conditions. Bondtech users around the world will confirm that our extruders operate flawlessly, with unmatched precision, and without damaging or degrading the filament—even during prints with thousands of retracts.

Multi-Material Capability

The QR extruder feeds all materials with high reliability, from smooth nylons and soft TPU/TPE filaments to highly rigid and sometimes brittle carbon-filled high-strength materials. The extruder is designed for 1.75 or 2.85/3.00 mm filaments. The filament path runs entirely through the extruder body, and the housing maintains tight tolerances with the drive gears, reducing the risk of filament misfeeds when there is increased backpressure in the hot end or when using highly flexible filaments.

Adjustable tension

With the knurled screw tensioner, the user can fine-tune the pressure exerted on the filament by the drive gears. This allows you to adjust the pressure to your preferences and optimize it for the type of material being used.

Quick-release lever

To change materials in a snap, simply activate the quick-release lever to release the tension and pull the material to be replaced out of the extruder. Then keep the lever activated and insert the new material.

Feed Direction

The QR feeds material with equal force in both directions, allowing it to be flexibly integrated into your application.

Multi-Application Design

This extruder can be used in a Bowden or direct setup, giving you the flexibility to choose what works best for your application. Additionally, it features an integrated hotend retention method compatible with E3D V6 hotends or others using the Groove Mount standard. Mounting your hotend is simple, secure, and wobble-free with just three screws.

Each unit is assembled, tested, and verified for optimal performance; Recommended motor current setting: 1.2A; E-steps setting: 476.5 (1.75 mm) (492.45 2.85 mm) steps/mm
