IGO3D Education – The Digital Classroom
The digital classroom supports, with the help of IGO3D Education teachers at all educational institutions in integrating 3D printing technologies into lessons and extracurricular groups.
IGO3D Education acts as a free, open and collaborative network of educators, users and manufacturers of 3D printing systems who want to exchange ideas with one another, share their experiences in working with 3D printing, publish their projects, extracurricular groups, curricula and lesson ideas, and offer support.
In addition, the network gives pilot schools that already have experience implementing 3D printing technologies in everyday school life the opportunity to help other schools gain easier access to the technology. For this additional commitment, our ambassador schools receive various benefits in the IGO3D Education-Program.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles opens Digitalization Campus:
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is opening its first Digitalization Campus in Hanover. Digital learning methods, creativity, communication and collaboration are topics implemented on the digital campus. Trainees will find a project- and problem-oriented learning environment where they can develop their interdisciplinary skills through a self-directed approach. As part of a unique learning project, Volkswagen is developing its own training system – the "factory model". Here, trainees have the opportunity to discover and apply innovative technologies. On a scale of 1:18, learners simulate automated vehicle production. Digital topics such as 3D printing, programming, data exchange between machine and mobile device, and collaborative robots are taught interactively. All production areas are digitally networked. The learning location optimally prepares trainees as young professionals for deployment in the company.
