Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) is a 3D printing process in which solid filaments are melted, extruded through a pressure nozzle and putted down again in a controlled manner. This process is possible with various polymers, i.e. plastics, but also with metals or ceramics. Due to patents the method is also called FFF (Fused Filament Fabrication).
