The Magigoo adhesive pen enables distortion-free and easily removable 3D-printed components with flexible filaments from the printing bed

Good printing bed adhesion during the printing process and at the same time easy release after the printing process is finished. These are the main features of Magigoo adhesive pens. The manufacturer from Malta has meanwhile developed a wide range of adhesives especially for almost every 3D printing filament type. The Magigoo Flex pen you can buy here is especially suitable for flexible materials like TPU or general flex filaments. Important: We always recommend to combine the correct adhesive pen with the appropriate material. Otherwise, there may be difficulties with the printing bed adhesion, so that the printing object either peels off or sticks too strongly, which can cause damage to the printing bed surface.

TPUs, TPEs and TPCs describe a group of polymers sometimes referred to as thermoplastic rubbers. Thermoplastic rubbers are available as co-polymers or as polymer blends, generally consisting of a plastic and a rubber. This produces both thermoplastic and elastomeric properties. These materials have the advantage that they can stretch to a certain degree. Furthermore, the materials have very good thermal properties, material stability, chemical resistance and very good abrasion resistance. They are also cheaper to produce. As a result, flexible filaments are in great demand in industrial applications. Some filaments have a lower adhesion to conventional 3D printing surfaces and a high tendency to warp. Others tend to adhere too well to uncoated 3D printed surfaces, such as glass and PEI. Magigoo Flex is a special solution for FDM printing, designed to work with a variety of flexible filaments. Magigoo Flex acts as an intermediate layer between the building board and the printed part.

Tips

For larger prints we recommend a Brim of 20mm.
If the prints should stick too much to the printing plate, we recommend to moisten the printing plate with some water. After the water has taken effect, the removal should be much easier.
