Polymaker Industrial PolyMide PA6-CF Filament at IGO3D

Polymaker PolyMide PA6-CF is a high-quality filament from the Chinese manufacturer’s industrial series. Polymaker has long offered premium filaments for FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) 3D printing, which are among the best in their class. PA6-CF is a polyamide (“nylon”) containing 20% carbon fiber. The filament features what is known as Fiber Adhesion Technology. This means it has been modified to provide better layer adhesion in the Z-direction.

This product is an abrasive material. We recommend using a hardened print nozzle—for example, one made of hardened steel or with a gemstone tip—in combination with this filament.

Advantages of Polymaker PA6-CF

PolyMide PA6-CF is a carbon fiber-reinforced 3D printing material made of nylon (PA6) that offers the highest strength, impact resistance, and heat resistance of all Polymaker 3D printing materials. PolyMide PA6-CF is also an ESD-safe material suitable for printing electronic devices. The carbon fiber reinforcement provides significantly improved stiffness, strength, and heat resistance without compromising Z-axis layer adhesion. With a heat deflection temperature of 215°C, this material is perfect for functional automotive applications that require strength and heat resistance.

Applications for Polymaker PA6-CF

Polymaker PA6-CF is part of the manufacturer’s Industrial Line. As such, it is primarily intended for industrial users in businesses. The material is intended for end-use parts—that is, components that are actually used in their intended function. Due to its mechanical properties, PA6-CF is ideal for brackets, fixtures, and handles in mechanical engineering. Additionally, thanks to the filament’s ESD safety, it is suitable for covers and enclosures for electrical circuit boards or cables.

Note: In February 2022, Polymaker began transitioning all filaments to cardboard spools. This transition will take place gradually over an extended period. Both the manufacturer and we, as a retailer, will of course sell off the old inventory first before the new spools become available. The filament itself remains unchanged by this transition; it is merely a change in packaging, along with a new EAN and SKU number.
