SUNLU FilaDryer SP2 – Dry, store, and process filament directly

The SUNLU FilaDryer SP2 combines a filament dryer and storage box in a modular 2-in-1 system. It was developed for users who want to reliably protect 3D printing filaments from moisture, dry them efficiently, and store them in a space-saving manner. Especially with hygroscopic materials such as PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA, PA, PC, PVA, or PVB, the SP2 ensures more stable printing conditions and better filament quality.

Modular 2-in-1 system for flexible filament storage

The FilaDryer SP2 consists of a separate heating base and a removable storage box. This allows filament to be actively dried and then safely stored separately. Multiple storage boxes can be stacked; stacking up to three boxes is recommended. This keeps the workspace organized, even when different 3D printing consumables are used simultaneously.

Efficient drying with a 200-W PTC heater

The heating base operates with a 200-W PTC heater and fan support. The temperature range of 35 °C to 70 °C covers the requirements of common 3D printing filaments. Active warm air circulation supports even drying and helps reduce moisture-related printing issues such as stringing, bubbling, uneven extrusion, or poor layer adhesion.

Strong sealing for controlled humidity

The top and bottom of the box are equipped with silicone seals. These ensure a reliable seal and good thermal insulation—both during drying and storage. At an ambient humidity of approximately 50%, an average humidity of around 25% can be maintained inside. This makes the SP2 a practical solution for the long-term storage of sensitive filaments for 3D printing.

Large interior for 0.25- to 3-kg spools

The SUNLU FilaDryer SP2 supports filament spools ranging from 0.25 kg to 3 kg, with a maximum spool diameter of 250 mm and a maximum spool width of 153 mm. The box can hold two 1-kg spools, one 2-kg spool, or one 3-kg spool. With SUNLU 2-kg spools, two spools can also be used. Filaments with diameters of 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm are compatible. Paper spools and damaged spools can also be used securely with the spool holder.

Well-thought-out design for direct 3D printing

The storage box features a carrying handle, a recessed base, and an integrated hygrometer for real-time humidity monitoring. There are three filament outlet openings on each side, allowing the FilaDryer to be used flexibly with various 3D printers, 3D printing setups, and filament guides. The filament can be fed directly from the box—ideal for workshops, offices, makerspaces, or professional 3D printing environments.
