The V6 hot end, featuring an all-metal construction with high-temperature performance, is E3D’s flagship product. It is incredibly versatile and supports a wide range of filaments out of the box. Whether you’re experimenting with more advanced materials or printing at different resolutions and sizes, the V6 ecosystem is suitable for every application.

High-Temperature Performance

The advantage of an all-metal design is that the V6 can easily reach 285°C using the included thermistor. If you want to print at higher temperatures (up to 500°C), you can simply swap the thermistor for a PT100 or a thermocouple (additional electronics may be required). This allows you to print both standard materials like PLA, PETG, and ABS, as well as high-temperature materials like polycarbonate, Ultem, nylon, and PEEK.

Easy Operation

The V6 features a heating block in the form of a heating cartridge, which allows for easy replacement of both the heating cartridges and the temperature sensors. Replacement thermistors, PT100s, and thermocouples can be inserted and secured with a threaded pin, making maintenance simple and hassle-free.

Precise printing

Our all-metal heat break ensures a sharp thermal separation to allow for better control over filament extrusion. It improves start-ups and stops during extrusion, enables more effective retraction, and prevents oozing and stringing. The all-metal heat sink features a refined internal surface finish to reduce extrusion force and improve retraction reliability.
